Gramme Espresso sits quietly on Botany Road in Mascot, offering a straightforward cafe experience that feels familiar and easy-going. It’s the kind of spot locals gravitate toward when they want reliable coffee paired with thoughtful food, without any fuss. The setting is modest but welcoming, with a small footprint that keeps the vibe calm — a nice break from the busier dining strips nearby.

Coffee here draws attention, especially the cold brew and cappuccino, which come across as well-crafted without overreach. Beyond coffee, the teas and house-made sweets like their caramel slice show the kitchen’s knack for simple, satisfying treats that pair well with a chat or a moment alone. The atmosphere encourages lingering — many visitors take their time here on days off, settling in with a pot of tea or a quiet moment away from the rush.

The menu leans into hearty, layered sandwiches and toasties, including options like the Rendang Reuben with pastrami and sauerkraut or the ham, cheese, and tomato jam toastie. These feel more substantial than your typical cafe fare, packing a good amount of flavour and portion size that work well for a casual lunch or mid-afternoon refuel. Bread choices matter here, noticeably fresh and well-selected, which adds to the experience.

Service tends to be friendly and unpretentious, matching the comfortable, neighbourhood pace of the venue. Gramme Espresso doesn’t tend to get crowded, which makes it a reliable spot for quiet time — whether you’re catching up with friends or just grabbing a break during your day. Early afternoons and quieter weekdays seem ideal for soaking in the local rhythm.

If you’re in Mascot looking for straightforward, well-made coffee and a solid sandwich in a relaxed setting, Gramme Espresso fits that need with quiet consistency. Its appeal is in the comfortable familiarity it offers to people who appreciate a genuine local cafe without any elaborate showmanship.

We are lucky to have this local spot in the area Great coffee, teas and the home made sweets are next level (Caramel slice is my go-to ) I enjoy coming here on my days off, to have a pot of tea and a yarn. Lovely people Wishing Gramme continued success in the area

Gramme Espresso is a small cafe located just a few minutes walk from the main eating area on Botany Road. I feel that it is one of the better cafes in the area. I ordered the ham, cheese and tomato jam toastie ($11.90). It was a good sandwich and really hit the spot for me! The toastie was generously packed with ham and cheese. I liked the addition of the tomato jam rather than slices of tomato as I felt it added further flavour without it getting soggy. Good quality ingredients were used. I also liked that there was a choice in the type of bread you could have. Sandwiches are made fresh to order. I found prices to be good here too. Service was excellent and couldn't be faulted. I received a warm welcome and friendly good bye. Staff were cheerful and sincere.

Really great coffee! I had the turkey sandwich, it was generous, full, and a great portion size. The bread they use is absolutely delicious. Such a great hidden gem with a lovely vibe. Staff were super sweet and friendly. Highly recommend!

Came back a second time in just a couple of days to make sure the first time wasn’t a fluke. Food is fresh and tasty. Chocolate milkshake is very good (although it could be a little colder) and the service is welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended especially the prosciutto , rockmelon & goat’s curd on sourdough. Never too crowded so go in and enjoy yourself

Top stuff! I just had the house made granola/muesli and I do not think you can get it like this elsewhere. And the iced matcha was one of the best I have had, the Gramme Espresso team are a blessing to Mascot. Thank you!

Artisan coffees and lovely and friendly owner. Dropped by just after closing time but owner was nice enough to still make a cold brew coffee and a milkshake as a last minute order. Both were delicious. Very friendly

Up from Melbourne for the weekend and HANGING for a good coffee and some food after my flight. Drove past this place by chance and thought I’d give it a go. Had the Rendong Rueben which was bloody delicious and the coffee was outstanding, strong and full of flavour. I will definitely come back when in Sydney. Highly recommended!!!

Hidden gem in Mascot we stumbled across while in the area. Tried the almond croissant and turkey panini. Absolutely delightful and worth checking out! The picture is half of the croissant.
